Finally toured La Paz Sand Dunes with my friends, one of the finest treasures of Ilocos Norte where the Tom Cruise starrer "Born on the Fourth of July" was shot. First, we enjoyed a bumpy, roller coaster ride aboard a 4x4. Fanatics say that the crazier the driver, the better. And you bet we had one crazy driver! My heart was thumping so hard that I literally thought giants were in there! (My goodness!) Second, we enjoyed sandboarding with occasional rolling-from-up-the-dune-down due to lack of balance. In short, I fell off the board. (No laughing.) :p
I've never been to Dubai so for now, this is the closest experience I have to a Desert Safari. When you visit Ilocos, be sure to drop by this place with your friends and family. :)
