The sky is my pensieve and the clouds, my thoughts

It's a really big shame when people fail to notice the simplest of simple things when they are busy. They get too caught up with work that they do not take notice of mother nature's everyday art attack. Perhaps they are too blinded by the rat race. Or maybe they put too much effort on the thinking-out-of-the-box part of seemingly mundane activities. To be honest, I myself am sometimes guilty of this. We each have our own reasons and we can defend all we want how important and busy persons we are. But hey, taking the time out to reconnect with the environment should be made a constant and conscious effort. It sounds kind of dopey but this is a good way to de-stress. You may go to the salon or the spa or the gym, but why not try stepping outside of the building for a change. Answers you seek might be drawn out of thin air.

I have a thing for clouds and a great fascination of the sky. In my make-believe world, the sky is my pensieve and the clouds, my thoughts. A trivia to non-HP fans, Albus Dumbledore uses a pensieve to store excess thoughts of his mind and examines them at his leisure. It looks really magical - like a stone basin filled with watery substance of sorts (yay to HP fans who can relate!). I used to work on the 29th floor of a building in Makati and I am lucky to be seated by the window. I have a really nice view of the busy streets, the neighboring buildings and the skies. Each of us have our own thinking moods and mine is when I am awfully quiet and stare into space. I would discretely look out the window to sort my thoughts out. It's not that I'm cuckoo but there's really something therapeutic about ignoring everyone for a few minutes, and do nothing but to stare out into the open sky. It kind of reboots my energy levels and pushes bad vibes away.

This was the window view from my former workplace. The neighboring building always gave me its poker face.
My mother and I have been going out for long drives recently, causing my fondness of the clouds and the skies to heighten. While driving, she would play soft music on the radio and we would talk and laugh a lot. In between, we'd have our comfortable moments of silence and it is during these times that I would content myself with staring at the skies to appreciate everything. I see the clouds and happy thoughts come into my mind - cotton candy, fluffy pillows, fresh linens, angels, laughter, happiness. When twilight comes, it is a completely different story. The skies turn majestic, enchanting even.  :)

I captured some sceneries and I hope I did them justice in these photos:

Now ain't these grand? :))
